| I am pleased to report that the Harbour Inn at Solva is
much improved. They now do a very good curry! We visited it twice on
Friday, well you've got to make sure that the improvement is real, good
pint of Rev. James and Bread of Heaven.
Andy, Bryan, Rhys and Neil walked from Solva to St Davids on a windy November day. Sian and Rhiannon dropped us off at Solva, and then sensibly went shopping. We followed the coast path to St Non's Bay and then cut across the fields to St Davids and a pint at the Farmers Arms. We dropped to the beach at Aber Llong to have a look at the remains of the three tugs that went aground there in 1983. I remember going aboard them when they were relatively intact. There's nothing left now but the engines and some rusty metal plates. Walk length 9.8 km, 418 m of ascent. We left the Whiz sleeping off the exertions of the morning and the kids doing their homework in the afternoon (bwahahahahahaha!) and Sian, Bryan, Andy and I took a stroll down to Whitesands Bay. There were a few storms brewing up over the sea and sure enough we got very wet! Dinner at the fish & chip shop at Letterston in the evening, and then back to the caravan for a cheese and wine orgy.
