On Friday we walked from the campsite at West Lyn to the
Valley of the Rocks and climbed Castle Rock, stopping for a pint in Lynton
on the way. We perched in the Beggars Roost pub next to the camp site in
      the evening.
On Saturday we walked past the alpacas over Summerhouse Hill, down into
Lynmouth, up Countisbury Hill and down the road into Brendon. We had a
pint or two at the Staghunters and then carried on along the road to
Rockford. It seemed rude to pass the Rockford Inn without stopping so we
stopped for lunch and a couple more pints. We continued down the East Lyn
River to Watersmeet, and then climbed Myrtleberry Cleave back up to West
      Lyn.
Length of walk 18 km (11 miles) - Ascent 1170 metres (3800 feet)
